FLIR Reporter 8 - Report Writing and Image Analysis

The Report Writing and Image Analysis course teaches infrared camera owners how to leverage the power of FLIR Reporter 8 software to generate inspection reports and perform infrared image analysis. The report writing process is explained in detail using the Professional Wizard. The Wizard allows you to select a template on which to base the report, add infrared images and matching photos, add some IR text comments and report properties, and finally create the Word document. Each infrared image in the report is an active, radiometric image. The process of thermally tuning the image, measuring temperatures, and changing critical parameters like emissivity will be discussed. Reporter comes with several report templates to get you started, however these templates can be easily modified to suit your specific needs. The process of editing a template will be explained, and some common changes will be made. By the end of the course students should have an excellent understanding of how to quickly produce a professional inspection report, analyze infrared images, and customize a report template.

	Using the Professional Report Wizard to add IR images, matching photos, text comments, etc. to a new report. No need to add pages one-by-one; Reporter can automatically create all of the pages for you.
	Adjusting IR image properties such as level, span, color palette and object parameters in the report.
	Performing detailed IR image analysis using measurement tools such as Spot Meters, Areas, Lines, and Isotherms. The Delta tool can also be used to automatically calculate a temperature rise between analysis tools without using formulas.
	Customizing measurement tool labels, colors, etc.
	Displaying image information on the page using Reporter Tables and Fields.
	Editing an existing Reporter template to change the company logo, temperature units, text comments, and a variety of other parameters.
	Creating a quick report using the Rapid Report Manager.
	Using Image Fusion to blend an IR image with a photo. It is not necessary to have a Fusion camera to take advantage of Reporter’s Fusion functionality.
	Creating a high-resolution IR image using the Panorama module. Several standard FLIR JPEG images can be “stitched” together to create a fully radiometric image that can be analyzed using Reporter and other FLIR software.

	Histogram and Trending graphs.
