I am working with a manufacturer of a reflective material who wants to use thermography to demonstrate its effectiveness. Having taken to heart Joe DeMonte's tale of the drag car exhaust manifold coating who's national ad campaign had to be pulled because they just flat out got it wrong, I'm leery of allowing the language used to describe my images being inaccurate or even misinterpreted. Fortunately the client is tech savvy and shares my concern. I've seen IR used in ads for products from wetsuits to various building products but I've never seen a list of such ad materials in one place. Has FLIR or ITC compiled such a thing?
