Camera 'hoods' for protection cathybuller 9/24/2009
Does anyone use a professional photographers protective hood to protect the IR camera from environmental factors?

Any suggestions on best model or make for such a 'hood'?

Thank you for replies.

I have checked this out and sorry to say these hoods are specific to the different make of photo camera. I found none to fit my B25. Flir do not offer hoods but maybe its something they should look at.

interesting post.

..when you talk about enviromental factors, are talking about to protect the camera lens itself or some humidity or alcaline-acid, dust, sand, gases, filtering into camera electronics?

A hood from dust, as like a construction site.
Not moisture, just dry elements and protection from them.

Any suggestions are welcomed.

I have ordered a hood of sorts and will try it out and reply with results.
