Documenting with the GasFindIR? CorDEX Instruments 6/22/2009
Another option for recording a problem located by GasFINDIR is to use the Centurion XPG digital camera from CorDEX Instruments Ltd.

Centurion XPG is ATEX certified for Zone 1 IIC T4 explosive areas and incorporates a 5Mega pixel array, removable battery and strobe flash for low light areas. Although connection to the GasFINDIR video output is not possible, Centurion XPG can record the location of a problem with high resolution still images and even VGA quality AVI files for documentation and repair confirmation.

Specifications include:-

-> Robust explosionproof technology (certified)
-> Strobe flash
-> Removable NiMH Battery Pack
-> 2MB onboard storage
-> Upto 10Mp still image resolution
-> Movies stored as AVI files
-> Certified for use in explosive gas environments

I would be happy to discuss this further with anyone who is interested via email on sales@cordexinstruments.com, alternatively please visit our website at www.cordexinstruments.com.

Seems a bit of a sledgehammer to crack a nut. You are walking around with a non ATEX GasFindIR so why do you need this if it can't even record from the camera? A regular digital camera would do just fine. The recorder that comes with the old GasFindIR is OK but the new GF camera doesn't even need one of those.
