Bad welds, surface cracks, corrosion, porosity, etc? IR can be used in so many ways but may not be worth the effort when traditional techniques such as ultrasonics, eddy current, radiography are more precise and quicker.

I would be mostly interested in bad welds and surface cracks. Any info you have would be appreciated. Thanks.
