ITC Training Facilities

The ITC maintains the only two purpose built infrared thermography training facilities in the world.

Boston, Massachusetts, USA
The Boston training center houses a 49 seat auditorium with multimedia equipment for core lectures. This facility includes a computer and monitor at each table to allow students to plug in their own cameras, follow along with the instructor's lecture, and produce reports from the results of the application labs.

The facilities also house a separate dedicated applications lab. In the lab many industrial and commercial infrared applications are simulated. These include outdoor and indoor electrical distribution systems, direct and indirect thermal pattern and temperature measurements, piping leaks, wind and solar effects, spatial resolution effects, building heat loss and roofing applications, buried steam lines, rotating equipment, and electronic circuit boards.

Stockholm, Sweden
The Boston training center provided the model for our training facilities in Stockholm. This facility has seating for 15 students and each table has a computer for the software portions of the course. We have an extensive installed laboratory exploring both practical and theoretical aspects of thermography.
